Saturday, April 10 was Amandapalooza! She had her Washington bridal shower and bachelorette party on the same day it was epic. See the bridal shower pictures below. Unfortunately, her bachelorette party was too hot for the Internet to handle!
Mad props to Courtney and Paolo’s Mom Vicki for making everything happen!

We are so excited to have finally sent our invitations. It was a long, strenous process and probably our most difficult wedding planning feat to date.
We decided to create the invitations ourselves. The stress of keeping everyone happy with the design and content for both locations as well as trying to meet deadlines and produce the mass amount of intivations required nearly caused death by papercut.
After weeks of discussion about the copy, design, fonts, images, etc., you would have thought we were trying to pass the healthcare bill. We probably could have. We finally came to a concensus on design and Amanda and I whipped up the actual invitations in no time. We bought a really awesome Gocco (Japenese screen printer) machine off of EBay for $200, which was a great investment considering how easy it is to use and the applications it has for Thank You cards and future art projects.
As I did most of the designing and Kinko runs (there were several), Amanda handled the actual screen printing and stamp buying (Who knew someone could be so particular about stamps?). At the end of it all, we created some pretty great invitations. Check them out!
It only dawned on me earlier this week that we spelled Fort Wayne incorrectly as “Fort Wanye.” This is only mildly embarrasing considering it’s the equivalent of spelling Seattle “Seattel.” Only a foreigner would make that mistake and clearly I am not native Indianian. Amanda and her parents and my parents also reviewed the invitations but no one caught the typo! This is yet another reason why I am anti-cursive.
Oh well, I think Fort Wayne sounds a lot cooler when it rhymes with Kanye.

We think we’ve got a caterer for the Seattle reception – Husky Deli.
It’s a West Seattle standard for deli foods and ice cream, and we are stoke that they are so reasonable with the pricing and flexible with delivery and our bringing in outside beverages. That doesn’t happen often!
I took the picture at left of the baguettes when we went in for a tasting. All I can say is, “Yum.”
